What a Shipping Associate will do:
- Prepare packaged materials inventory, shipping, and arrangement of transportation services
- Effectively utilize UPS/FedEx, Bill of Lading software
- General housekeeping, maintenance, and organization of work areas
- Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
- Keep an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand
- Use appropriate material handling equipment
- Estimate weight to calculate the cost of shipping
What you need to be a Shipping Associate:
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Ability to read, speak, and write English, as well as follow verbal instructions and use simple math
- Ability to interpret packing slips and enter information into the computer
- Knowledge of the most common material handling equipment
- Experience with UPS/FedEx, and Bill of Lading online software is desirable
- Ability to lift and move up to 60 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
