What a Sewing Machine Operator will do:
- Prepare work to be accomplished by gathering and sorting materials
- Prepare machine by changing needles and thread
- Sew materials together by guiding material under machine needle using both single needle and double needle industrial sewing machines
- Adjust machine performance on material by observing machine operation, detecting malfunctions, adjusting settings
- Maintain quality by inspecting finished product
- Completing preventive maintenance on sewing machine
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
- Good finger and hand dexterity
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
- Ability to speak and read English
