Service Writer
Job Description
What you will do as a Service Writer:
- Schedule appointments, take orders, monitor service progress, calculate charges and process payments
- Drive to vendors for parts when they come in and other errands
- Review customer accounts and reports changes to internal staff
- Maintain cleanliness of office
- Check email
- Go through items in basket such as mailings, vendor bills, and items to be shredded
- Answer phone and check voicemail (detail to who, why, and when)
- Secure customer information and inquisitions
- Help customers with financial applications if needed for purchase
- Finalize Salesman records and send appreciation gifts
- Update serialized inventory documents (new and resale) and transcribe to company website
- Basic math and accounting knowledge
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong record-keeping and mindful attention to detail
- Computer literacy and data entry skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be highly organized with an ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office products, QuickBooks, email, and internet #WEjobhunt
