What a Safety Technician will do:

What a Safety Technician will do:
- Promote safe work practices and safe working conditions in accordance with all state, federal, and local regulations & company requirements
- Conduct facility and work area inspections in coordination with the Safety Task Force, Supervisors, Team Leaders, or other designated teammates
- Review and/or implement all safety programs, as needed
- Maintain safety records, including training records, safety data sheets, chemical inventories, programs, incident investigations, and metrics
- Assist with coordinating and facilitating meetings and training, as requested by the Safety Manager, including the use of safety equipment, clothing, and first aid response
- Conduct research for safety projects, as needed
- File/scan all training documentation, as needed
- Help leaders and teammates identify and correct potential hazards to ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- Assist with incident investigations to identify root causes and help develop solutions that prevent recurrence
- Support the VPP Team, Safety Task Force, Emergency Medical Responders, and the SafeStart behavioral-based safety training program
- Experience with safety in a training environment
- Experience with MS Office Suite
- Effective communication skills, positive attitude, and self-motivated
- OSHA 10 certification preferred
- 3-5 years of safety training experience preferred
- Must be available to train on the 1st shift
