We are seeking candidates for R&D Technical Assistant roles on their day shift. The hours for the role are 8:00am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday. Compensation for this contract opportunity is $20.00 per hour. What an R&D Technical Assistant will do:

What an R&D Technical Assistant will do:
- Update and maintain formula database, create all new and updated corporate data sheets
- Proofread formulas, BOMs, and labels
- Prepare correspondence, statements, receipts, or other documents for communication between other functional groups
- Locate and order R&D new ingredients and/or packaging materials with procurement assistance
- Maintain test kitchen ingredients and record lot codes
- Create and maintain process specifications
- Create preliminary Nutritional Analysis
- Update Product Process Specifications as needed
- Help package and set up samples for mail-order shipments
- Work closely with the R&D Manager to ensure the effective transition of new or improved products from the lab to full-scale manufacturing
- Lead Voice of Customer (VOC) test runs with Production with the objective of hand-off to full industrialization
- Mix, scale, bake, finish, and coordinate shipment of test products as needed
- Operate ovens, stoves, mixers, and other bakery equipment
- Participate in the GFSI/FSSC22000 yearly audit and assist in developing procedures and corrective actions
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent math skills
- Ability to become familiar with company methods and standards and apply that knowledge to daily duties
- Proven ability to deal with confidential information in a professional manner
- Excellent detail orientation and organizational skills
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
