What you’ll do as a Quality Technician:
- Perform dimension inspection layouts using Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), height gauges, calipers, and micrometers
- Ensure parts meet tolerances and comply with engineered drawings and other specifications
- Maintain and calibrate inspection room equipment inventory
- Ensure product quality by conducting in-process and post-production inspections
- Develop, maintain, and provide training for quality assurance procedures
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in manufacturing and quality documentation
- Provide cross-functional support to Engineering, Operations, and Purchasing teams
- Manage non-conformance reports
- Collaborate with departments, vendors, and customers for root cause analysis
- 2-year technical degree preferred
- At least 4-6 years of quality assurance/quality control experience
- Knowledge of industry quality systems and standards e.g. ISO 9000
- Experience with First Article Inspections (FIA)
- Knowledge of tooling, gages, specifications, and machining
- Advanced understanding of blueprint reading
- Able to frequently lift up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Able to perform repetitive wrist and hand movements
