What a Quality Inspector will do:
- Develop and improve inspection and testing procedures
- Keep testing equipment calibrated
- Use measuring tools like micrometers, calipers, and microscopes to check product specifications
- Conduct functional tests based on set standards
- Analyze data to address quality issues and suggest improvements
- Update and share quality reports
- Track customer returns and corrective actions
- Train and support product inspectors
- Perform special testing as needed
- Conduct internal audits to ensure quality standards #worknow
- High school diploma or GED
- 1+ years of related experience or training (or equivalent education/experience)
- Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and safety rules
- Comfortable presenting information in small groups
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals)
- Ability to calculate rates, ratios, percentages and interpret bar graphs
- Problem-solving skills for varied situations
- Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram instructions
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
