Job Description

We are seeking a Quality Control Engineer to join our client’s team in Minneapolis, MN. This hands-on role focuses on providing support to production teams, addressing and resolving quality issues through effective problem-solving tools and techniques. You will play a key role in driving quality improvements in die casting, CNC, and supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead problem-solving teams to address customer complaints and internal quality issues.
  • Manage corrective and preventive actions using databases and customer-specific formats.
  • Improve die cast process performance and reduce scrap through problem-solving tools.
  • Maintain and update manufacturing quality plans, inspection processes, and operator instructions.
  • Train employees on gaging, customer requirements, and quality plans.
  • Analyze blueprints, data, and manuals to ensure product specifications are met.
  • Communicate and resolve quality issues with suppliers and subcontractors, including occasional travel.
  • Support internal audits and compliance with ISO/TS 16949 standards.
  • Promote a culture of quality and maintain the integrity of the Quality Management System (QMS).
Qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree or vocational training with 5+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving tools within manufacturing, preferably die casting.
  • Strong ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T.
