Key Responsibilities:
- Lead problem-solving teams to address customer complaints and internal quality issues.
- Manage corrective and preventive actions using databases and customer-specific formats.
- Improve die cast process performance and reduce scrap through problem-solving tools.
- Maintain and update manufacturing quality plans, inspection processes, and operator instructions.
- Train employees on gaging, customer requirements, and quality plans.
- Analyze blueprints, data, and manuals to ensure product specifications are met.
- Communicate and resolve quality issues with suppliers and subcontractors, including occasional travel.
- Support internal audits and compliance with ISO/TS 16949 standards.
- Promote a culture of quality and maintain the integrity of the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Associate’s degree or vocational training with 5+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in problem-solving tools within manufacturing, preferably die casting.
- Strong ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T.
