Quality Control Supervisor- Direct Hire
Job Description
Salary: $110K-$125K including bonus
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and supervise the inspection team to meet daily production and R&D priorities
- Develop, validate, and optimize dimensional inspection routines using CMM systems and vision systems
- Serve as the internal expert on GD&T and dimensional inspection principles; provide cross-functional training and support
- Interpret complex engineering drawings and customer requirements to create accurate inspection plans and acceptance criteria
- Design and implement fixtures and measurement methods to improve inspection accuracy and throughput
- Conduct Gage R&R studies and measurement system analyses to ensure reliability and robustness of inspection processes
- Manage calibration schedules and documentation, ensuring full compliance with ISO 13485, FDA, and other applicable quality standards
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to support new product introductions (NPI), validations, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
- Prepare for and support internal and external audits by maintaining complete traceability and inspection records
- Participate in risk assessments, change control processes, and continuous improvement initiatives related to metrology and inspection
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Metrology, Engineering, Quality, or related technical field preferred; equivalent experience considered
- Minimum 5 years of metrology or quality inspection experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, including leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong expertise in GD&T, dimensional inspection techniques, and quality systems compliance
- Proficient in CMM programming on multiple platforms such as Mitutoyo MCOSMOS, Zeiss Calypso, Hexagon PC-DMIS, and other relevant CMM software; experience with vision measurement systems (e.g., Micro-Vu) is a plus
- Proven ability to conduct Gage R&R studies and design robust measurement plans
- Skilled in interpreting detailed engineering drawings and specifications
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and experienced working with MRP/ERP and QMS software platforms
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to train, lead, and support cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment
