What you’ll do as a Quality Assurance Technician:

What you’ll do as a Quality Assurance Technician:
- Follow all work instructions based on your department’s SOP, JSA, SSOP, etc.
- Report problems or concerns as they arise to your lead, supervisor, or management personnel
- Complete department-required paperwork as assigned
- Operate testing equipment
- Ensure adherence to all customer specifications
- Participate in harvest/seasonal processing activity, which may involve shift rotation as needed
- Positively participate and facilitate cross-training within the plant
- Be flexible and willing to participate in special projects or any changes that may arise
- Perform any other duties assigned
- Produce food products that are safe, wholesome, and meet established quality specifications
- Immediately report any incidents or situations that may compromise food safety or quality to a supervisor, lead, or plant management
- High school education or equivalent (required for reading, verbal, quantitative, and writing skills)
- Prior work experience in quality assurance or food safety is preferred
- Knowledge of GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and OSHA requirements
- Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment in decision-making
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to read, identify, calculate, and record data accurately
- Computer knowledge preferred or willingness to learn
- Ability to work overtime, irregular hours, or shift work at the discretion of the supervisor or management
- Physical ability to stand and walk 90% of the time
- Comfortable working in a non-air-conditioned environment with seasonal temperature variations
- Ability to work in a potentially noisy environment that may require hearing protection
- Experience using a computer workstation
