What the Purchasing Clerk will do:

What the Purchasing Clerk will do:
- Record purchases, maintain database, perform physical count of inventory, and reconcile actual stock count to computer-generated reports
- Perform a variety of clerical duties to ensure that materials, supplies, and equipment are shipped on schedule which includes expediting and returns
- Manage day-to-day orders, re-order reports, CSM requests, quotes, acknowledgments, and releases
- Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documentation, etc.
- Monitor open purchase orders and maintain current planned delivery schedules
- Identifies delayed items to expedite delivery and communicates status
- Handle order discrepancies and coordinate returns
- Resolve purchasing order entry ticket discrepancies
- Match and verify payable invoice quantities/prices against packing slip or purchase order
- Verify vendor statements against company accounts payable records
- Provide administrative support to Purchasing Manager
- Ability to work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
- Ability to provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task
