We are seeking candidates for Punch Press Operator roles on the 1st shift. Compensation for these opportunities is $18.00-$22.00 per hour. Interested? Read below to learn more!
What a Punch Press Operator will do:
What a Punch Press Operator will do:
- Set up and operate a computer programmable and controlled punch machine
- Perform machining operations on a variety of parts involving multiple stamping or cutting operations
- Download the proper operating program and make minor adjustments to maintain product specifications
- Regularly check the product to specifications included in the work order packet
- Perform specific quality checks by measuring cutouts, length, width, gauge, and material types
- Seek assistance in resolving difficult operating problems
- Keep the work area clean and carts from blocking aisles
- Perform minor maintenance procedures
- Coordinate orders by working closely with the shear operator, production schedule, and Line Leader or Plant Manager’s direction
- Follow company policy and procedures
- General knowledge of machining techniques and methods
- Familiarity with numerical control machine operating procedures
- Must have a concern for safety and quality control
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Required PPE must be worn at all times
