Job Description

We are seeking candidates for Production Supervisor role on 3rd shift. Compensation for this direct hire opportunities ranges between $65,000-$75,000 per year, depending on skills and experience. - Supervise, plan, and coordinate operations on assigned shift to maintain production schedules and quality and cost standards and to maximize efficiency
- Ensure quality of work, efficient material and workflow, proper use and care of equipment and machines, and proper application of production methods
- Evaluate work performance and counsel and coach employees to maintain safe and efficient work performance
- Organize and assign work to utilize employees' knowledge, skills, and abilities to the best advantage to expedite work schedules and obtain efficient work performance
- Maintain close observation over operations, guiding employees concerning proper production methods
- Maintain an adequate supply of raw materials, production supplies, and tools to support continuous operations
- Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in proper working order
- Analyze equipment, machine, or quality problems and production delays
- Expedite repairs and/or corrective actions to minimize downtime and work schedule interruption
- Schedule and supervise maintenance activities
- Prepare an operating budget for assigned shift and administer and control budget during the business year
- Enforce the proper use of safety equipment and maintain departmental housekeeping to produce a safe work environment
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years of previous experience in heavy manufacturing is preferred
- Ability to approach work assignments in a positive manner and function as a team member
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy to avoid errors that would cause delay or dissatisfaction
- Ability to exhibit superior safety practices evidenced by outstanding housekeeping
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
- Willingness to wear all required PPE including safety goggles, hearing protection, steel-toe non-slip safety shoes, and gloves as needed when on the shop floor
