What you'll do as a Production Planning Assistant:
- Create Work Orders for shop floor and making sure all information is correct
- Close Production Orders when finished in shop and make sure the materials used are accurate
- Issue and maintain Serial Numbers for parts on Work Orders
- Work with other employees to help investigate inventory issues and, if needed, report the information to Production Planning to be corrected
- Help to maintain Item Card and BOM Data on all inventory items by reporting discrepancies to Engineering or Production Planning to be updated
- Assist in other areas as requested or needed
- Strong problem solving and organizational skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to accurately use computer programs that are needed to complete tasks
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize them
- Knowledge of basic manufacturing production is helpful
