- 2nd shift only works 4 days a week!
- Lead and work alongside a team of assemblers to produce high-quality products by overseeing operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and following standard work procedures.
- Coordinate assembly tasks involving welding, soldering, small parts, microscopes, and chemicals to ensure on-time and accurate production.
- Actively promote a Continuous Improvement (CI) culture by engaging the team in identifying and implementing process enhancements.
- Support cross-training initiatives, ensuring team members develop new skills across different product families and areas.
- Monitor work-in-progress, finished goods, and material transactions, ensuring all relevant paperwork and computer entries are accurate.
- Identify and address quality issues immediately, working with supervisors and technicians to resolve problems and maintain product integrity.
- Ensure safe operation and proper maintenance of tools, materials, and equipment.
- Train team members on processes, equipment, and work instructions, fostering a supportive and effective training environment.
- Adapt to changes and support the team through evolving requirements, utilizing feedback for continuous personal and team improvement.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- One or more years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience in warehousing or manufacturing required.
- Proven ability to effectively build relationships with employees and management.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and multi-cultural environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal and external contact.
