Process Engineering Manager
Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of approximately 8-12 employees across process engineering and chemical laboratory departments.
- Develop and support direct reports, fostering professional growth.
- Oversee and refine manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency and product compliance.
- Establish and maintain process control plans and standard operating procedures.
- Work closely with manufacturing personnel to ensure consistent quality standards.
- Utilize a structured problem-solving approach, applying statistical tools to control processes and drive continuous improvement.
- Provide training to manufacturing personnel on procedures and best practices.
- Assist in real-time problem resolution and troubleshooting.
- Report on progress, project plans, and yield data to management as needed.
- Contribute to equipment and material selection, including specification development.
- Offer Design for Manufacturability (DFM) support for new projects.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing, with a strong track record in process implementation, yield improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Hands-on experience in chemical processing and plating techniques
- Proven problem-solving abilities, with a structured approach to resolution.
- Strong communication skills, effective at all levels of the organization.
- Leadership experience with the ability to develop and mentor team members.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Knowledge of lean practices and statistical process control.
- Ability to set priorities, meet goals, and communicate effectively with engineering teams, production staff, and leadership.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to take initiative and support both direct and indirect reports.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering preferred; other educational backgrounds considered based on experience.
- Experience in printed circuit board manufacturing, semiconductor, solar, plating operations, or circuit board assembly preferred.
- Proven ability to lead high-performance teams at varying experience levels.
- Due to ITAR regulations, candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents.
