Job Description

We are seeking candidates for Pre-Press Technician roles. Compensation for these direct hire opportunities ranges between $20.00-$30.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Interested? What you will do as the Pre-Press Technician:

What you will do as the Pre-Press Technician:
- Review customer graphics files, troubleshoot, and prepare files for proof and plates
- Maintain and organize daily work on servers, and troubleshoot with IT department on server issues
- Create layouts/graphic files for external customers
- Troubleshoot in current pre-press programs
- Create layouts to material size about color and material characteristic for internal and external customers
- Prepare die-lines for internal and external products
- Troubleshoot CTP software issues
- Investigate and learn new software programs.
- Various website-related duties
- Work on production floor as needed
- 1+ years of previous experience in graphic arts business or comparable business background
- Proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop, QuarkXPress, and InDesign
- Must be competent in Mac Platform
- Demonstrated ability with layout and design
- Basic understanding of printing process and layout for production
- Basic understanding of printing, die-cutting, etc., and how one process may affect the other
- Must understand CTP process
- Understand functions and capabilities of new or updated software programs
