What you’ll do as the Plastic Injection Molding Operator:
- Efficiently and accurately read and follow work instructions
- Review work orders
- Operate the press to produce molded parts
- Follow operator instructions for the specific part criteria, including performing quality checks and any required SPC as directed by the team leader
- Visually inspect each molded part
- Clip and trim molded parts
- Pack molded parts in boxes
- Complete any task that is asked of you by your Team Leader or Supervisor
- Advise the next operator of any information about press or molded parts
- Follow all safety guidelines and rules
- Follow written work procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
What you need to be a Plastic Injection Molding Operator:
- Ability to lift up to 45 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
- Strong mechanical ability and attention to detail
- Knowledge of measuring tools
- Basic math skills
- Previous manufacturing experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints is helpful
