What a Paint Technician will do:
- Perform paint process tasks in accordance with the Paint Process and FAA requirements
- Follow company procedures and manufacturer’s instructions when using tools and equipment, such as dual-action sanders, hydraulic lift platforms, and paint sprayers
- Use sealants, paint strippers, and corrosion-preventive chemicals
- Use protective equipment and follow safety rules as required in compliance with OSHA regulations, including reading and understanding SDS sheets
- Utilize computer system to create parts demand, track orders, and sign off on work
- Document hours worked accurately in all required time-tracking systems
- 1+ years of previous industrial painting experience
- Ability to kneel, bend, squat, reach, and lean several hours throughout the day while performing painting
- Ability to lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
- Ability to climb and work on ladders while performing painting tasks with or without reasonable accommodations
- Must have all required tools designated on the minimum required tool list within 90 days of starting employment
- Willingness to comply with drug testing requirements in compliance with federal regulations
- Ability to pass an annual physical, including respirator fit test, to use safety equipment
