Job Description
Looking for a great paying job in Central MN? Doherty Staffing Solutions is partnering with a leading manufacturer of sunshades, louvers and decorative grilles located in Delano, MN. We are seeking candidates for Paint Prep Associate roles on 1st shift. Compensation for these temp opportunities ranges between $18.50-$20.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Interested? What you will do as a Paint Prep Associate:
What you will do as a Paint Prep Associate:
- Apply liquid paint to product surfaces by manufacturer and customer specifications
- Reduce paint by manufacturer product data sheets
- Perform on-line quality control procedures
- Perform color changes including, but not limited to cleaning paint guns, pumps, and pressure pots
- Troubleshoot common paint issues
- Load and unload product onto a constantly moving overhead conveyor
- Unpackage and prep material for loading
- Inspect parts for damage
- Read prints and determine the racking location and paint coverage areas
- Repackage finished material and prepare for shipment
- Perform online quality control procedures and document outcomes
- Use hand power tools to prep and/or repair defective material
- Knowledge of liquid painting processes, preferably in a manufacturing, industrial, or automotive environment
- Basic math and conversion skills
- Basic computer skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work as a team or independently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly moving production line
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally up to 75 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations
