Operator Assembler II
Job Description
What the Operator Assembler II will do:
- Adhere to established manufacturing documentation, drawings, and work instructions, interpreting product nomenclature and dimensions as required
- Perform product assembly, processing, and fabrication tasks, including loading components into fixtures, operating tools and equipment, and executing weld operations as qualified
- Conduct workstation set-ups and basic troubleshooting for approved operations
- Carry out in-process and post-process inspections—both visual (with and without microscopes) and dimensional—using gauges, micrometers, verniers, and other measurement tools
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including inspection reports and customer travelers
- Take and provide direction within the manufacturing cell, supporting effective collaboration with peers and senior operators
What you need to be an Operator Assembler II:
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- 1+ years of experience in the medical device industry and manufacturing required
- Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
- Ability to work in an environment subject to fluctuations in heat, humidity, fumes, odors, dust, and noise
- Knowledge of how to set up and operate workstations
- Ability to provide information to engineers for determining the root cause in order to identify the appropriate corrective actions
- Knowledge of performing visual and dimensional inspections
- Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships
