We are seeking candidates for Mixing Team Lead positions on the 1st shift. 1st shift hours are 5:00 am- 4:00 pm, Monday-Thursday. Compensation for this contract opportunity is $25.00 per hour. What you will do as a Mixing Team Lead:
- Coordinate department activities within a production area to ensure department and company production is met in a timely manner
- Promptly communicate any potential outages or shortcomings to Supervisor
- Coordinate and participate in Continuous Improvement, Safety, and Quality initiatives, providing feedback for the creation of work procedures
- Ensure all required departmental checks are performed as required
- Properly track and record downtime
- Support autonomous maintenance through use of CID and CL standards
- Perform Root Cause Analysis / Investigations
- Promote Food Safety by following all standards
- Complete daily production records and reports
- Complete routine audits to ensure processes are followed
- Perform effective handoffs and communication at shift change
- Ensure the correct inventory of supplies is present for the required jobs to be performed.
- Ensure adequate training is provided to all Mixers and provide oversight on complex recipes
- Participate in the GFSI/FSSC22000 yearly audit and assist in the development of procedures and corrective actions
- Scan, copy, and file paperwork
- Must be able to operate, and in some cases assemble production mixing equipment
- Must be able and willing to assume responsibility when supervisor is absent
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of Manufacturing related experience, preferably in food production
- Bilingual/Spanish or Somali(speaking/writing/ reading)
- Must have reliable transportation and be able to work a flexible schedule
- Able to lift up to 20 lbs. very frequently and up to 50 lbs. frequently #NEjobhunt
