Job Description
Looking for a great-paying position in Alexandria? Doherty Staffing is partnering with a leading food production company in the Alexandria, MN area. We are seeking candidates for Mixer roles to work 12-hour night shifts. Compensation for these contract opportunities is $20.00-$25.00 per hour. Interested? Read below for more information!
What you will do as a Mixer:

What you will do as a Mixer:
- Coordinate the set-up of the mixing area following batch records
- Perform routine maintenance on all the mixing equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties involving area equipment
- Start-up and shut down all the equipment as it relates to the mixing area
- Identify all critical control points with the understanding of their function as it relates to the mixing area
- Prepare and maintain all records and charts in a neat and orderly fashion
- Identify all critical control points with the understanding of their function as it relates to the mixing area
- Communicate with the warehouse, process operator, and supervisor on any delays or problems in the mixing area that would hinder the flow of product
- Monitor the mixing operation ensuring ingredients are correct through the staging and mixing process of the product
- Receiving of tankers
- Perform a variety of quality checks to ensure standards are met
- Direct the transfer of batched product to the storage vessels
- Take samples for the quality department
- Understand the terminology of mixing equipment
- Able to work around soy, rice, and almond-based liquid products
- Able to understand and adhere to Quality Assurance System Guidelines, SOPs, GMPs, HACCP, and SQF programs #WorkNow
