Job Description
Looking for a new opportunity in the Detroit Lakes area? Look no further! Doherty Staffing Solutions is currently partnering with a leading metal sales manufacturer located in Detroit Lakes, MN. We are seeking Mill Operators to work on the 2nd shift. Compensation for these opportunities ranges between $18.00-$20.00 per hour, plus a $2.00 shift differential. Interested? What a Mill Operator will do:
What a Mill Operator will do:
- Operate a roll former to produce metal roof and side panels
- Check and visually inspect produced panels against specifications to ensure a defect-free product has been produced
- Install panel dies during tooling change and adjust to panel specifications
- Enter production quantities for each order into the computer system
- Operate a forklift for positioning coils at un-coiler
- Operate overhead cranes to load coil stock
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Assist in other departments as needed
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working in a manufacturing/production environment
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Ability to work independently and with others
- Ability to read, hear, talk, drive lift trucks, wear PPE, and lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
- Ability to tolerate extreme temperature changes in the winter and summer months
