What you’ll do as a Mill Operator:

What you’ll do as a Mill Operator:
- Ensure that plant operations are compliant with food safety regulations and occupational safety regulations (FDA, OSHA, EPA, etc.)
- Follow the orders of management and supervisors to mill products according to the production schedule and to attain the most profitable product yields
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Communicate milling issues or concerns to the supervisor in charge
- Work with management and the maintenance department to sustain integrity and function of processing equipment and components
- Perform processing control checks according to procedures and specification requirements
- Perform preoperative/post sanitation inspections to ensure that equipment is intact, and is free from build-up or other contaminants
- Verify the function of processing equipment according to the food safety program (i.e. metal detector, etc.)
- Maintain sufficient documentation in support of the food safety program
- Knowledge of milling operations
- Ability to work as a team player and communicate well with other coworkers
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
