What you will do as a Mechanical Assembler:

What you will do as a Mechanical Assembler:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to determine the size and type of material needed
- Configure items for proper fitment
- Bolt, glue, screw, or otherwise fasten parts together
- Fabricate according to specifications, drawings and/or verbal direction
- Operate machines that are needed to perform production work of assembling parts
- Test fitment of parts before modifying pieces and parts
- Measure, cut, and fasten plumbing materials such as PVC pipe, stainless steel pipe, and copper pipe
- Fasten and secure customized production material onto custom frames
- Test equipment to ensure proper functionality
- Assist with preparing systems and loose equipment to go out for shipment
- Assist with receiving material and items
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1+ years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, procedures, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization
- Ability to measure quickly and accurately to 1/16th of an inch
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings or blueprints
- Experience and confidence with hand and power tools
