What you will do as a Material Handler:
- Operate a forklift safely and efficiently after completing company certification
- Transport materials to and from production areas, stack inventory, and load/unload trucks
- Enter transactions into the ERP system and assist with inventory and cycle counts
- Perform daily forklift inspections and identify materials for timely delivery
- Follow manufacturing processes, including safety regulations, quality procedures, and documentation standards
- Support continuous improvement by providing feedback and implementing new ideas
- Handle, transport, and store hazardous materials such as paint, stains, and solvents when needed
- Complete quality checks to ensure materials meet established specifications
- Follow work instructions and control plans related to safety, quality, and scheduling
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally, 21–30 lbs. frequently, and 1–10 lbs. continuously
- Willingness to perform repetitive wrist and hand movements and engage in bending/twisting motions
- Must be able to stand for a full 8-hour shift
- Comfortable working around chemicals or heavy fumes from paints, stains, or cleaners
- Compliance with all PPE requirements, including hair/beard net, bump hat, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel-toed shoes
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety, accuracy, and productivity
- Ability to understand material flow and follow company processes accurately
