What a Tester will do:
- Assist in the setup and testing of a unit or units
- Work with blueprints, specifications, etc.
- Run the panel with the unit being tested if required
- Read analyzers, meters, and scopes
What you need to be a Tester:
- Vocational or high school graduate with coursework in electronics required, plus a formal accredited apprenticeship or equivalent training in testing related trades such as assembler, machinist, or electrician
- Must have knowledge of the safe setup and operation of rotating equipment testing
- Must successfully complete Tooling U classes for electrical safety
