What a Production Technician will do:
- Responsible for de-sanitizing and flushing all equipment before beginning production operations
- Stage batches by accurately weighing the proper ingredients and mixing them to the prescribed specifications
- Blend the batches by operating the mixing equipment
- Maintain all appropriate documentation
- Ensure that all ingredients and cleaning chemicals are handled and stored following the requirements
- Set up production machines each day according to established procedures
- Operate production machines to produce products in accordance with established standards and guidelines
- Manipulate controls efficiently to minimize waste
- Inspect the produced product for faultiness and report flaws immediately to management
- Detect and report machining malfunctions promptly to management
- Maintain an adequate supply of operating materials for production machines and obtain additional materials according to procedures
What you need to be a Production Technician:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 2-4+ years of related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Internet Explorer
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
