What a Parts Specialist will do:
- Order parts from various vendors based on internal requests or inventory levels
- Verify and ensure the accuracy of purchase orders, including pricing and quantity
- Answer inquiries regarding parts availability, pricing, and order status
- Stock parts in designated inventory locations, maintaining organization and accessibility
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder stock as needed to prevent shortages
- Update computerized inventory records to reflect current stock levels
- Lift and transport parts to designated storage areas, utilizing proper lifting techniques
- Receive incoming parts shipments, inspect for damages or discrepancies
- Follow up on outstanding orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues
What you need to be a Parts Specialist:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in parts ordering or inventory management is preferred
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and perform physical tasks such as walking and standing for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and inventory management systems
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
