What a Quality Control Technician will do:
- Conduct daily rack audits (observation only, no glass handling required)
- Perform weekly rack audits, requiring the lifting of 5–40 pieces of glass
- Maintain and document accurate records of inspections, audits, and testing results
- Use Sparklite Argon Detectors and Argon Gas Leak Detectors
- Inspect rejected glass returned by customers to identify defects and root causes
- Document findings and collaborate with the Quality Manager to implement corrective actions
- Work closely with production teams and customers to address quality concerns
- Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvements
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in quality assurance or manufacturing is preferred
- Familiarity with and able to use tape measures, micrometers, calipers and computers
- Knowledge of both the English and the Metric systems will be required
- Physical capabilities required to perform the job (i.e. standing, walking, lifting, bending, reaching)
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
