Job Description
Seeking a new opportunity in the South Metro area? Don’t miss this role! Doherty Staffing Solutions is partnering with a leading sheet metal manufacturing company in Bloomington, MN. We are seeking candidates for Core Assembler roles on the 1st shift (Monday-Thursday, 5:00 am – 3:30 pm) and the 2nd shift (Monday-Thursday, 3:45 pm – 2:15 am). What a Core Assembler will do:

What a Core Assembler will do:
- Set up and operate equipment, including hardware press, tapping machine, rivet guns, and other support tools
- Set up jobs for assembly on Auto-sert, Quick-lock, etc
- Follow job routing or print instructions and complete documentation as required
- Assemble, maintain, and document jigs, fixtures, or special tooling used in the assembly process
- Perform inspections using precision measuring and gauging equipment
- Complete Quality Inspection documents accurately
- Run jobs and document production per routing instructions
- Apply adhesives and sealants as needed
- Utilize the ERP system applicable to the role
- Maintain safety by following all policies and procedures and reporting incidents
- Adhere to ISO standards and quality guidelines
- Sustain productivity and efficiency standards in a team or independent work setting
- Prior manufacturing experience (preferred)
- Skills in blueprint reading
- Ability to operate and use tools
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- High standards of personal conduct, dependability, versatility, cooperation, and communication
- Good attendance and the ability to work independently or collaboratively
- Physical ability to stand for an entire shift and lift up to 40-50 pounds
- Willingness to work in a moderately to highly noisy environment
