We are seeking candidates for Maintenance Technician positions on the 3rd shift. Compensation for this direct hire position is $62,400-$68,640 per year, depending on skills and experience. What you will do as a Maintenance Technician:
Benefits include 401K eligibility after 3 months of employment with a match of 4%; 3 weeks of vacation (accrues weekly) plus 8 paid holidays; Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance; tuition reimbursement of up to $1,500 per year; $100 towards prescription safety eyewear and $250 yearly towards safety shoes; $50,000 life insurance policy and long-term disability; and weekly paychecks on Fridays.
What you will do as a Maintenance Technician:
- Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance tasks and answering trouble calls
- Troubleshoot problems with the use of schematics and wiring diagrams on motor and heater circuits
- Remove and replace defective parts from equipment with the use of hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools
- Communicate effectively with the shift supervisor to prioritize repairs
- Make entries to the maintenance log explaining problems encountered, repairs made, and parts used or needed
- Keep company tools put away and in working order
- Fabricate repair parts, machine guarding, mezzanines, etc. using shop equipment (welders, plasma cutter, torch, grinder, etc.)
- High School diploma is preferred with 1 year of relevant work experience
- Electrical experience required
- Good organizational skills with an ability to address multiple issues at once
- Effective communication skills in both spoken and written formats
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations and to other employees of the company
- Must be able to understand safety rules, SOPs, and work instructions
