Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift
Job Description
Position OverviewThe Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring smooth manufacturing operations by maintaining equipment and systems, supporting production, and adhering to safety protocols. Compensation for this opportunity is $34.35-$38.35 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair facility equipment, including packing and line machines, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, air compressors, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Support production by troubleshooting and assisting with machine operation and changeovers.
- Follow all safety regulations and company procedures.
- Monitor and maintain cost-effective inventories of parts and supplies.
- Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of hazardous materials and maintain required documentation.
- Perform preventative maintenance on an established schedule, including testing energized electrical equipment.
- Document maintenance activities, including data entry into PM software.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic knowledge of PLC and robotics.
- Training/certification in electrical, mechanical, PLC, or a related field.
- 5+ years of general maintenance experience (troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems, pumps, motors, etc.) may substitute for formal training.
- Strong skills in operating hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Experience with PLC programming and robotics.
- Computer proficiency.
