What a Maintenance Technician will do:

What a Maintenance Technician will do:
- Use PLC, electrical, and mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair building
- and production equipment as needed
- Maintain physical property, which may include painting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and large repairs to building and equipment
- Perform scheduled maintenance work and other preventative maintenance tasks
- Assist in new equipment installation and modifications of equipment as needed
- Maintain all walkways and entry areas of the facilities
- Assist the Facilities Director in developing maintenance priorities
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area
- Respond to safety concerns identified by the Safety Committee and other personnel in an efficient manner
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum of 3 – 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance as well as formal training in an electrical or mechanical field
- Moderate electrical skills with an understanding of PLCs
- Must be able to read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, schematics, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
- Working knowledge of preventative maintenance needs to include electrical, plumbing, and mechanical skills
- Strong analytical and investigative skills, and mature judgment
- Must be able to move equipment and furniture and lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
