What you will do as a Maintenance Technician:
- Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, tools and production machines and equipment
- Ensure preventive maintenance programs are followed on all pieces of equipment
- Record work results and parts usage in a computerized maintenance management system
- Troubleshoot malfunctions and replace defective parts; may recommend equipment replacement if determines sufficient wear may cause safety or reliability problems
- Observe and ensure all safety procedures while working around machinery and equipment
- Provide support for the installation of new manufacturing and office equipment or the removal of old equipment
- Utilize database user interface, query, and industrial control software
- Complete tasks relating to the maintenance and service of all building systems
- Collaborate with plant operations to identify and prioritize maintenance needs and provide necessary reporting on equipment and building systems maintenance to management
- Associate’s degree in a technical field (Mechanics preferred) or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience
- 3+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience in a production/manufacturing environment preferred
- Mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems skills required
- Welding and metal fabrication skills preferred
- Ability to multitask efficiently
- Excellent verbal and written communication
