What a Maintenance Technician will do:
- Observe mechanical devices in operation and diagnoses malfunctions
- Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts
- Make approved modifications to machinery and equipment to meet production needs
- Repair or replace defective parts
- Lubricate and clean parts
- Start devices to test their performance
- Set up and operates drill press, grinder, welder, and other metalworking tools to fabricate and repair parts
- Effectively install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, PLC, and hydraulic issues on production equipment, conveyor systems, and facility related equipment within the plant
- Maintain accurate maintenance and preventative maintenance records and ensures that all revisions to equipment and tools are properly recorded
- Utilize the CMMS module in the ERP system
- Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from 2-year College or Technical school; or 5+ years of related experience and/or training
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, blueprints, schematics, short correspondence and memos
- Basic math skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Working knowledge of computer systems and office equipment
- Ability to diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and mechanical drive, systems
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations
