What a Maintenance Technician will do:
- Operate preventative maintenance program for all fabrication equipment and facilities
- Perform any safety related repairs on the facility and equipment
- Responsible for the upkeep of the facilities and the grounds including snow removal
- Diagnose, update, troubleshoot, and repair all fabrication equipment
- Ensure and adhere to safe work practices and procedures including, but not limited to lockout/tag out and confined space rules and regulations
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and removal of old equipment
- Repair or replace all faulty hand/power tools as necessary
- Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures
- Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies
- Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol
- Perform minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting repairs as necessary
- 2+ years of experience in maintenance
- Knowledge of basic shop practices/safe working habits
- Basic electrical systems operation knowledge
- Knowledge of basic hydraulic systems
- Blueprint and schematic reading ability
- Must be committed to accuracy and extreme detail in all maintenance tasks
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
- Ability to work well with minimal supervision
