Maintenance Manager - Direct Hire
Job Description
What a Maintenance Manager will do:
- Develop and maintain the preventative maintenance program in accordance with the equipment manufacturers' recommendations and industry-accepted best practices for all equipment in the facility
- Ensure timely execution of preventive maintenance tasks by Maintenance Managers and equipment operators
- Coordinate with Department Supervisors to assign tasks for Maintenance Technicians to support production and special project tasks
- Oversee and coordinate the Work Request and Work Order Programs to ensure quality and timeliness.
- Install, and repair machines, equipment or structures using appropriate tools
- Estimate costs and tracks expenses for all maintenance and repairs
- Develop training and credentialling program for all utility systems, including ammonia refrigeration and boiler systems for company team members.
- Manage projects appropriately, utilizing both team members and general contractors
- Develop and execute a Continuous Improvement Plan for the maintenance department
- Create an SOP for prioritization and resource allocation of maintenance projects and initiatives
- Bachelor's degree in the technical field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Master Class Boiler License
- 5+ years of experience as a Maintenance Manager or Supervisor in a fast-paced, rapid growth production or manufacturing environment
- Certified Industrial Refrigeration Operator License or willingness to obtain one immediately
- Current electrical/PLC/controls experience
- Ability to read and understand manuals, drawings, and P&ID documents
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
- Forklift certification and experience or willingness to obtain certification
