What a Machinist will do:

What a Machinist will do:
- Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to produce parts to the required specifications
- Measure and inspect completed units using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers) to ensure adherence to tolerances and detect any defects
- Monitor machine feeds and speeds during the machining process to optimize efficiency and quality
- Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine machining operations, sequences, and tooling requirements
- Understand product dimensions, geometric tolerances, and surface finishes specified in drawings to achieve accurate fabrication
- Proven experience as a Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in operating manual and/or CNC machine tools
- Solid understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and precision
- Good problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
