What you will do as a Machine Operator:
- Operate various machines and use hand/power tools in a production environment
- Flex and cross-train across departments and work collaboratively with team members
- Feed, prep, inspect, debur, tape, band, and package both raw and finished parts
- Assist with machine set-ups, cleanups, and perform basic to moderate preventive maintenance
- Use measuring tools and understand job specifications such as SPC, control plans, set-up sheets, and packaging instructions
- Communicate with team members to align on production requirements
- Meet established production run rates and ensure products meet quality standards
- Perform internal inspections for quality, equipment, and output accuracy
- Ensure accurate material movement and transactional verification in the production system
- Follow safety protocols and wear required PPE, including steel-toed boots
- Handle, transport, and store hazardous materials related to paint/stains when applicable
- Attend required safety training
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally, 21–30 lbs. frequently, and 1–10 lbs. continuously
- Willingness to perform repetitive wrist and hand movements and detailed assembly work
- Comfortable with repeated bending and twisting throughout the shift
- Ability to stand for an entire 8-hour shift
- Must comply with PPE requirements, including hair/beard net, bump hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed shoes (location dependent)
- Understanding of basic manufacturing concepts and tools such as SPC, control plans, and job instructions
