What you will do as a Machine Operator:
- Read process sheets, blueprints, and sketches of parts to determine operating requirements
- Mount workpieces
- Depress buttons and toggles
- Start the machining operation
- Observe displays on the control panel and compare with data on the process sheet to verify dimensional adjustments
- Perform spot checks on succeeding pieces for conformance to specifications per instruction on the In-Process Inspection Report
- Operate additional machines during computer-controlled machining cycles
- Tag and/or mark completed material and move product to appropriate areas
- Watch and check coolant fluid levels during machine operation
What you need to be a Machine Operator:
- High School diploma or GED
- 1-3+ months of related experience
- Ability to read blueprints and instructions
- Good math skills
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally with or without reasonable accommodations
