Job Description

We are seeking candidates for Laser Operator roles on the 1st shift. Hours for this shift are 7:00am-3:00pm, Monday through Friday. What a Laser Operator will do:

What a Laser Operator will do:
- Setup, program, and operate lasers cutting metal parts
- Make setups independently with minimal assistance and supervision and subject to first-piece check by quality control
- Nest materials are to be cut according to daily production requirements using Aquila nesting software
- Maintain quality requirements using various measuring instruments requiring interpretive reading
- Work from blueprints and shop orders, samples, and specifications
- Use hoists, slings, and chains for lifting material
- Clean and care for the laser machine
- Ability to lift/move up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
- Ability to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls with or without reasonable accommodations
- Knowledge and related experience in programming, setting up, and operating vertical and horizontal saws
