What a Grinder will do:
- Operate grinding machines and other related tools to smooth, shape, and finish metal parts according to specifications
- Sand, buff, and polish metal surfaces to achieve the required finish, ensuring the removal of imperfections and preparing parts for further processing or final assembly
- Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet the required specifications and quality standards, and adjust as necessary to maintain precision
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring a clean and organized workspace
- Work closely with other team members to coordinate work processes and meet production schedules
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience operating a hand grinder and other metal finishing tools is a plus
- Familiarity with safety procedures in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to lift and handle materials up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
