Job Description

What you’ll do as a Forklift Operator:
- Work with the warehouse supervisor and leads to receive cold storage shipments and maintain all stock inventories for the warehouse
- Load and unload shipping trucks as required throughout the work shift
- Use a forklift, pallet, and hand truck as required to receive, move, and ship products
- Assist shipping area with customer orders as requested
- Work closely with supervisor, leads, and other operators to complete daily work orders quickly and efficiently
- Adhere to all safety procedures and best practices
- Report any warehouse issues or concerns promptly to the warehouse supervisor or leads
- Assist with inventory control processes
- Responsible for various sanitation duties
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
