What the Forklift Operator will do:

What the Forklift Operator will do:
- Perform seed field planting activities, ensuring optimal planting techniques and schedules
- Conduct routine maintenance of seed fields, including watering, fertilizing, and pest control
- Execute harvest preparation tasks, including equipment setup and field assessment
- Sort, dry, and shell harvested seeds, ensuring quality and adherence to specifications
- Perform return and rework activities as necessary
- Operate sizing and gravity machines for seed conditioning
- Bag and palletize conditioned seeds for storage or shipment
- Operate forklifts and other warehousing equipment to move, store, and manage seed inventory
- Collect and pool samples for quality testing and record-keeping
- High School diploma or GED
- Associates degree or higher with agriculture emphasis preferred
- 1+ year of related agricultural experience
- Must possess a valid driver's license and may be required to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Knowledge of production agriculture, production plant operations, and field equipment
- Ability to adjust quickly to changing conditions
- Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Basic level of PC skills desired
