What you will do as a Forklift Operator:
- Drive a forklift
- Push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials
- Move levers and pressed pedals to drive the truck and control the movement of the lifting apparatus
- Position forks, lifting platforms, or other lifting devices
- Check the inventory of materials on the work floor
- Weigh materials or products
- Record weight on tags, labels, or production schedules
- Load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting devices
What you need to be a Forklift Operator:
- Previous forklift experience preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
- Ability to read and interpret written information
- Basic math skills including fractions, decimals, and standard measuring devices
- Ability to work overtime and occasionally on Saturdays
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
