What you’ll do as an Estimator:
- Accurately create and maintain BOM and labor routings required to manufacture various plastic products
- Determine the most cost-effective manner to produce various plastic products
- Prepare cost estimates to assist in sales
- Communicate with outside vendors to receive pricing on outside services
- Create templates for all new parts and maintain existing ones
- Work closely with designers and the sales department
- Adjust labor routings and materials to meet product specifications
What you need to be an Estimator:
- 2-year Technical Degree
- 2+ years of progressive cost estimating experience in a fabrication environment
- Knowledge of plastic fabrication processes is preferred
- Must be team-oriented
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be able to read blueprints
- Highly computer competent
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be detail-oriented and have outstanding organizational skills
- Must be adaptable to change and possess good problem-solving skills
