What a Shipping Specialist will do:
- Oversee and coordinate all inbound receiving activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of shipments
- Conduct thorough inspections of incoming products for quality and compliance
- Maintain accurate records of received goods, including quantities, descriptions, and conditions
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite to generate reports, track inventory, and communicate with team and vendors
- Analyze receiving data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas of improvement in the process
- Collaborate with inventory management and logistics teams to optimize workflows
- Train and mentor new staff on receiving procedures and best practices
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized receiving area, adhering to safety and operational standards
What you need to be a Shipping Specialist:
- 2+ years of experience in a receiving or warehouse role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to frequently lift 11-20 lbs. and occasionally lift 41-50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations
- Capable of repeated bending and twisting, lifting, and reaching #WorkNow
