Doherty is partnering with a manufacturing client in the Hudson, WI area to find a Director of Human Resources who will play a vital role in driving organizational growth and employee engagement.
About the Role:The Director of Human Resources will serve as a trusted advisor and collaborative member of the leadership team. This person will lead HR initiatives with humility and insight, fostering a workplace culture built on performance, transparency, and trust. From workforce planning to employee engagement, compliance to training—this role is essential to the company’s long-term success.
What You’ll Do:Strategic HR Leadership
- Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business goals.
- Guide workforce planning, talent development, and succession initiatives.
- Implement structured performance and engagement programs.
- Partner with hiring managers to drive recruitment strategies and promote the employer brand.
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance across HR practices.
- Oversee Affirmative Action Plans (AAP) and EEO initiatives.
- Conduct compensation analysis and benefits planning.
- Manage HRIS tools (ADP Workforce preferred) to streamline processes.
- Deliver training on leadership, compliance, and performance.
- Facilitate strengths-based development
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
- 5–7 years of HR leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP preferred.
- Deep knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office; ADP Workforce HRIS experience preferred.
- Bonus points for Lean Manufacturing familiarity!
Pay: $140,000 - $150,000Final compensation dependent on location, education, experience, and background.
